The Danchee / Redcat Ridgerunner is a 1:10-scale, ready-to-run rock crawler packed with features rarely seen in its budget-friendly price range. It’s built for hobbyists who want a capable crawler that delivers solid performance without overspending.

This truck comes equipped with a 1500mAh 7.4V Li-ion battery and a USB balance charger, so you can spend more time on the trail and less time swapping batteries. The large battery tray can also accommodate a standard 2S LiPo pack if you prefer an upgrade.

Its 2.4GHz radio system offers four independent steering modes, giving you excellent flexibility for different driving conditions.

With dual steering servos and a transmitter designed specifically for crawling, the Ridgerunner offers selectable four-wheel steering while you drive. You can easily switch between front-only steering, rear-only steering, crab steering, and a tight-radius four-wheel steering mode. Both steering servos are mounted directly to the portal axle housings for precise control.

Portal axles lift the differential higher than conventional designs, improving ground clearance without upsizing the tires. The durable metal portal gears help cut down on chassis torque twist, improving stability. Each axle is powered by an RC380 motor, keeping weight low and delivering plenty of 4WD power for rugged trails and rocky obstacles.

A four-link suspension system with aluminum, oil-filled shocks sits on a tough chassis supported by metal frame rails, giving the truck both strength and smooth performance. From steep climbs to uneven terrain, the Ridgerunner is engineered to take on a variety of challenges.

The model even features a “Dig function”—a capability usually limited to high-end competition crawlers. With a quick press of the rear-lock button, the back wheels stop, allowing the front to pull the crawler through extremely tight turns. Press again to restore full four-wheel drive.

The Ridgerunner’s tires are designed to provide exceptional grip across rocks, dirt, and other rough surfaces. Paired with the crawler’s premium features, they ensure confident handling on demanding terrain.
